The products used

Ashley uses Tamera’s Sugar Products in all of her sessions. She chooses to use these products as they are 100% natural as well as they are locally sourced from the PNW. These products work with your hair and skin so that it creates less irritation, and works well with all skin types. Certified Sugarista!

My name is Ashley and I’m excited to be offering my sugar waxing services to you!

I enjoy being able to share my expertise in order to help others achieve the body they want. I opened my first salon, Beauty in the Pearl in January of 2021 located in Portland Oregon and it was a great adventure. Until I found my forever home at Hot Mess Salon in Vancouver Washington!

I have a passion for matching people’s energy and giving them the most comfortable experience possible. This is something that I learned was very important in my past work and I continue it today. I make new friends everywhere I go and I hope I am able to continue doing this with my clients to create friendships that last a lifetime. I enjoy learning about people and connecting with them 1 on 1.

They say to do what you love and you’ll never work a day in your life!
I’m living proof of that!

The History of Body Sugaring

Sugaring is one of the oldest methods of hair removal

Sugaring, known as Halawa, in the Middle East is still practiced today. Halawa means sweet in Arabic. It has been written that in ancient times, women would remove all of their body hair for their wedding night. The method of body sugaring used today is very similar but has been modernized for use in today’s spas and salons. Make no mistake, this is an art.
